Jenaya Bonner

Jenaya Bonner joined the UB staff in Macau in 2010. She will be teaching English as well as building relationships with local youth and assisting as a teacher trainer.

Jenaya grew up near Huntington, Ind., and attended Emmanuel Community Church in Fort Wayne. She graduated from Huntington University in 2009 with a degree in Educational Ministries with a cross-cultural focus.

Her interest in other cultures began in middle school and was enhanced through several short-term trips she took in high school including trips to Mexico and the Bahamas.

During her sophomore year of college, Jenaya went on a 3-week trip to multiple cities in East Asia. The following summer she participated as a conversation specialist in China. During her 6.5 month PRIME internship in college, Jenaya sensed a call to urban work. That, in combination with her high interest in Asia, caused her to pursue opportunities in Macau.
