Education

Education

We have always given much attention to education. We want children to attend school, and we want pastors to receive the training they need. Through education, leaders arise.

  • Our churches in Sierra Leone sponsor many primary schools and high schools. We also help support the Evangelical College of Theology in Freetown, which trains many of our ministers.
  • We help raise support for ministers in various conferences to attend seminary in their part of the world.
  • We have partnered to teach English in Asia, and to train teachers of English.
  • We have partnered with Huntington University in their TESOL program (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages).
  • Some of our staff who work with other organizations serve in educational roles—in Brazil, Russia, Germany, Jamaica, and elsewhere.
  • We encourage people to attend the Perspectives course, sponsored by the US Center for World Mission.
  • In addition, we use workshops to train people in the US and Canada to lead short-term trips to other countries.

As you can see, education is very important to us.
