Give
Here are some ways you can support the work of Global Ministries financially.
Support Overseas Staff
Our overseas staff must raise their own support. Sometimes people make one-time donations. But often, people pledge to support them with a certain amount every month (or six months, or year). This regular, dependable, on-going support is very crucial, and frees them to focus on their ministry while overseas without worrying about money.
Support a Project
Our national conferences provide projects to meet specific needs. It can be as small as a bicycle for a rural pastor, or tens of thousands of dollars for a major building project. You can look up project proposals in various ways: by country, by cost, and by category (construction, education, evangelism, medical, etc.).
Direct Deposit
Direct Deposit sets up an arrangement between Global Ministries and your bank. Every month, on the same date, a predefined amount is transferred from your checking or savings account to the Global Ministries bank account. This is a great way to regularly support Global Ministries staff. Learn more....
Child Sponsorship
Over 60 people support Haitian children through our partnership with CH Global. About 150 children in other countries are also being sponsored through Global Ministries—children with AIDS or leprosy and the children of parents with AIDS or leprosy. Contact Global Ministries for more information.
Local Church Fundraising
Global Ministries relies heavily on funds raised through local churches. United Brethren churches raise money for Global Ministries in various ways:
- The fall Thank Offering emphasis.
- The Easter Offering emphasis in the spring.
- Vacation Bible School projects.
- Special mission offerings.
- Regular support designated through the church’s annual budget.
- Special fundraising projects (bake sales, auctions, etc.) by women’s and other groups.
